Every Salut verbal agreement is formalised with a written contract. This protects both the client and Salut providing the service. On receipt of our contract, the document should be signed and emailed or posted back to Salut within 7 days.
Salut require private clients to pay a deposit when booking. The deposit is 50% of the total fee, paid on booking, and then the remaining 50% balance either seven days before the event in question or on the day of the event.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable. Salut will only refund the deposit when the engagement has been cancelled by Salut, in this case, the full deposit will be refunded immediately. Should the event need to be postponed due to COVID or a similar global pandemic, the deposit will count towards a new date which is mutually agreeable.
If the final balance fee for any private engagement is agreed to be settled seven days before the event it must be received on or within seven days before the date of the event. The final balance amount is made clear in each contract upon booking.
In the extremely unlikely event that the band are forced to cancel the agreement due to ill health or injury, Salut will offer the client a refund of both the deposit and the final balance (if this has been received).
The above cancellation fees are an important part of our agreement and are accepted by the hirer on receipt of our contract. All cancellation fees must be paid within 10 days of cancelling the.
The performance times of Salut are specified in each contract. Please note that contracted start times are based on Salut having access to the performance area at least 2 hours before the contracted start time. Please note that Salut are not responsible for venue or event overuns and are not obliged to play beyond the contracted finish time.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the venue has a safe supply of electricity. Minimum 2 x 13 amp sockets required.
Please note that wherever possible Salut will utilize the line-up represented unless the need arises to substitute a performer due. We have ‘dep’ performers in each position with equivalent ability to cover all eventualities. A reduction in fee for the use of a ‘dep’ performer is not applicable nor does it constitute grounds for cancellation.
It is agreed by both parties that equipment and instruments of the musicians performing are not available for use by other performers or persons except by specific permission of the musicians concerned. The musicians will not incorporate any third party into the performance at the client's request except by prior agreement; in this case the client agrees to assume responsibility for any damage done to the artist’s equipment.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that there are adequate refreshments for all musicians / sound engineers and manager. The minimum requirements are:
Supply of water and soft drinks for the duration of the bands stay at the venue.
Hot meals for all musicians/sound engineers/manager.
The client agrees to provide parking at the venue. Where parking is unavailable at the venue, the client agrees to reimburse Salut for any parking expenses incurred on the day of the event.
